There is also a Concierge and Baggage Service offering a free  air-conditioned bus  transfer to and from the center of Carvoeiro on a regular basis, several times per day. Is a family holiday resort in Carvoeiro, one of the most desirable holiday destinations in the heart of the Algarve, on the southern coast of Portugal.
The resort is called after the the pretty cove of Paraiso ( Portugese for Paradise), shown opposite, which is just a few minutes walk away.from Paraiso Country Club


Built in typical Moorish style,  Quinta do Paraiso Counry Club was one of the first to be built when this part of the Algarve was first sympathetically developed in the 1970's.  It is situated on a plateau about 1 km from the beach of Praia do Carvoeiro, scattered on a large area of 300,000m2,  in the midst of well kept gardens with fig, almond and olive trees and an abundance of tropical plants. The garden setting is well established and more spacious than in many later developments.
Accommodation at the country club:

There is a pleasant mix of accommodation scattered amongst the gardens form newly renovated one bedroom apartments in one storey Moorish type village buildings  in the Jardim do Pariso, with its own pool and bar to 2 and 3 bedroom bungalows and houses some with their own pool and in their own grounds.
There are  3 tennis courts with flodlighting at extra cost,, mini golf  and a kids club in season.
The diving center in the resort is run by the Navy-trained professional diver Stefan Fend and his wife and  has an excellent reputation .  It has recently been awarded the PADI Gold Award. They cater for beginners to expert and they have their own boat to take out clients to discover the underwater treasures of the Atlantic Ocean. There are once a week a diving session in the resort pool for anyone interested taking a first step.
Quinta do Paraiso Country Club, Carveoiro
A 5 minutes walk brings you to the picturesque fishing village of Carvoeiro.

The heart of the resort is the series of magnificent swimming pools, with bars and restaurants scattered around.
This is where the folk lore evenings take place in high season.

The Pizzariso Restaurante is centrally located in the heart of the resort. It offers Italian dishes such as Pizza and Pasta, as well as international specialties. During the season, the Pizzariso is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. The atmosphere is very cosy and relaxed both inside as well as outside on the terrace under the century old olive tree. Some of the dishes are sold over the counter for take-away and are also delivered within the resort
Behind the Pizzariso there is an 18 hole minigolf course, table tennis, a beach volleyball court, French bowls, and various climbing towers and a sand box for the little ones. All the equipment is available at reception for just a refundable deposit..
